I don’t have any doubts that there is such a thing as divine intervention. I’ve seen it in action with some of the people closest to me to know that it exists. Even if I didn’t believe in it, the people closest to me do and that would be enough for me to respect the idea. Luckily, I have reasons to believe that it has happened in my life, too.
I can admit, though, that it wasn’t always that way. When I heard that I had lost my older brother, I couldn’t understand how it could have happened like that. How could whatever divinity that might exist out there take him from me when I needed him? How could anything that might be worthy of believing him let that happen to him?
I’m pretty sure that if it hadn’t been for Fee and Becker and Tash and the Valkyries, then I probably would have allowed myself to keep internalizing the anger and blame. I’m also pretty sure that it was only because of some kind of divine intervention that I crossed paths with Fee again. It happened right at the time that I needed close friends around. I’m just grateful that there has been something more to develop between Fee and I.
Divine intervention is something that I could never have any doubts in now.
I may be known for being reckless, but there are some things that even I know better than to try flying in the face of.
